On Thursday 9th May, 2013, Lugarno Lions Club held their annual Appreciation Night Dinner where they honoured those members of the community who had significantly helped the club with their charity & community work over the last 12 months.
The night was organised by club president John Slack, Keith Millar and Elvio Munzone, with over 80 guests and members enjoying a delightful meal before being moved and amazed by the work of guest speaker, Steve Drakoulis of the Autism Community Network (ACN).
After Steve’s inspiring talk and video, those members of the community who had contributed most to the Lions Club cause in 2012 were presented with certificates of appreciation.
Among those who received awards were The Pole Depot (Mortdale), State Emergency Service (SES), Bates Bikes (Hurstville), NSW Police Force, The St. George Leader and Sanders Noonan. Kaylene Fox & Ian Ludlam of Sanders Noonan Lugarno accepted the honour on behalf of principal Mike Noonan.
Mr. Noonan said "Sanders Noonan is proud to be associated with Lugarno Lions Club and we believe it is our moral and business responsibility to assist those in our community who need our help".
